Thriving with Dyspraxia Workshops

In collaboration with The Yoga Physios, we're delighted to be designing and delivering the a 'Thriving with Dyspraxia' workshop.

 

 

Date: Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June

Location: Barefoot Physio, Exeter

 

 

About the Weekend

The weekend will include specialist dyspraxia talks, and sessions of practical yoga & mindfulness for dyspraxia, addressing:

  • Co-ordination difficulties and balance

  • Body awareness, proprioception and sensory processing

  • Self confidence and awareness

  • Anxiety

  • Nurturing a mindful focus

  • Strategies for managing executive functions at work and home

 

You will leave the weekend with a better understanding of your dyspraxia and a bespoke achievable plan developed by two expert professionals for you to follow at home.

 

About the Location

The workshop will be held in the city of Exeter, at a central and accessible location.

Exeter is easily visited by car or train, with a direct train line from London. Exeter also has an international airport. Should you need assistance finding accommodation or travel advice for visiting Devon, please get in touch.

 

About Us

Dr Emma Tremaine BA (Oxon), MB BS, MRCPsych

Dr Emma Tremaine is a qualified doctor and psychiatrist with extensive experience working with young people and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions, both in the NHS and in education. She is dyspraxic herself and has started the first specialist dyspraxia support & training service for children and adults. She has clients worldwide.

 

Eve Monteiro MSc, MCSP, MHCPC 
Eve Monteiro is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Yoga teacher with a background in Psychology. Her practical and holistic approach aims to strengthen her clients mind-body connection, to increase their body awareness and empower them with the tools to understand and manage their issues. She is a keen advocate of promoting yoga as a tool for rehabilitation. She believes that by incorporating principles from yoga and physiotherapy into daily life, clients can make ongoing and long lasting improvements to their physical and psychological health, helping them to move and feel better.

 

Cost

The cost for the weekend will be £395.

If you book before the early bird deadline (30th April) the cost of the weekend will be reduced to £350.

A deposit will be required to confirm your booking.
